Awakening (Bowhar Book 2)

It was wonderful seeing what Roishin and Enori have helped build in Bowhar. Not only do we see them rebuilding and organizing the people of the land, which is important, but also the home they have built there for themselves and their family. They both seem so down to earth at home, just working mothers coming together for each other and to raise their daughters, who's other jobs happen to be the title "Queen". I enjoyed the dissappearance of Josh in "present day" as it expanded the world even more and brought Riley into the story. As Riley steps up to lead the rescue mission into the Wilds I enjoyed getting to know her, and seeing what an incredible human she is. She's far more than the people around her all her life gave her credit for. The futher the mission takes them, the more we learn just how extrodinary all of the members of the party are, from their personalities, their bravery and their unique gifts. I loved watching Brielle getting to know her family after such a long time away. She's missed so damn much and deserves to have happiness again. We'd seen what an amazing mother she could be to Enori and Mary before the first war, now we can see her shine in the role of grandmother. Isabeau really "comes of age" in this book, for so long she's been the "little sister", now she is a young woman, finished her schooling and training and ready to get on with her life. Along the way, all of the things she comes to understand about herself and what Macha's gift means,…
