Description

Kas has always thrived in the shadows, living a life defined by chaos and the unpredictable. He is the definition of grumpy, a man who keeps his walls high and his intentions hidden. Then there is Ezra, a ray of light who refuses to be dimmed by the darkness surrounding them. Their connection is immediate, volatile, and undeniably electric, sparking a chemistry that burns through the pages. This is a story where the lines between right and wrong blur into something far more complicated. As a dark romantic suspense, it pushes boundaries and challenges the status quo, forcing both characters to confront the wreckage of their pasts. Their love is not easy; it is messy, intense, and profoundly human. Through the lens of a bisexual romance, the narrative explores the raw vulnerability of opening up to someone when every instinct screams to run. Fans of the genre will savor the tension and the high-stakes drama that keeps the heart racing until the final chapter. It is a tale of obsession and discovery, perfect for those who crave a story that is as delicious as it is dangerous. Prepare to be consumed by a romance that refuses to play by the rules.

Chaos *fans self* πŸ₯΅

Ok. I don't even know where to start. *fans self* Unhinged, I think is the best way to describe what I just listened to. I. WAS. HERE. FOR. IT! I have so much to say but it's all spoilers! So... Ezra and Kaspian are insane. They are crazy possessive and crazy obsessive. Their chemistry was πŸ”₯ hot. There are twists and turns that had me saying, "wait, what!?" Their banter was fun, both of them trying to be in control. It was all around chaos. I couldn't stop listening! I know everyone has a different definition of what they consider a dark romance. To me, when two guys are going at it because they were so turned on watching the other off someone, while said body is in the near vicinity, is a dark romance. If you don't consider that dark, then we need to be friends because I'm missing something here! πŸ˜… The audiobook!? *fans self again* These narrators really, really got into character. πŸ₯΅ Like I said, I couldn't stop listening!!

Holy hotness of obsessive, dark love! 😍😍😍😍😍

Dysfunctional has been on my TBR list for a while--an out of control, never-ending list. When I first stumbled upon it, the premise was instantly intriguing to me. I'm all about a dark romance with themes that sometimes make others squeamish. Hey, we all like what we like, am I right? At first, I put off diving in because I wasn't sure if I was willing to commit to a whole dark romance devoted completely to a mm couple. (Don't start bashing me for that comment yet. It's not what you think; I promise. I am all for LGTBQIA+ content.) Although I've read plenty of mfm and reverse harem books, most of the mm books that I've read were kinda blah (with the exception of one series that was effing amazing but tragically never completed by the author--curse you, Jex Lane!). The romance in many mm books (that I've read) often seems stilted, lacks passion, and the sex scenes seem...lacking. I digress; apologies. So, I started this book and was immediately hooked. The characters were everything I wanted and more. The darkness? Delicious! The way the story unfolded was nothing short of brilliance. And the chemistry and sex between Quinn and Kas was off the effing charts! *takes a second to fan self and then applaud* πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌ I LOVED this book! I'll most likely end up reading it again at some point because I did love it so much and to see if I pick up on anything new. Thanks for an amazing book, Mx. Lucero! Seriously, thank you.
