Couldn't put it down

Beta Read. When I beta read, it takes me a lot longer to read. I’m constantly thinking about hyphens (HYPHENS, SARAH!!) and homonyms. So I can’t really binge read like I usually do with any other read. Except this one. I honestly could not put it down. Sorry to my spouse, I had no time for anything else. All things High Seas for about 36 hours. High Seas Heat was just…entertaining? Yes, there are some ridiculous antics and over-the-top alpha- and omega-ness, but it all felt low stakes. I never worried how Claire and her pack would end up, and I knew there would be plenty of knots and bonding bites to share. I was just along for the ride (insert a cruise pun here) and it was a fun one. Sarah knows this, but usually her betas are my favorite of all the characters. And for once, I’ve fallen for a grumpy, awkward, lumberjack alpha. He just wants to spoil everyone and that is 100% my jam. Forrest, you’re my favorite. And nowwwwwww I need her brother’s book. I already know it’s gonna have me in chokehold.

High Seas Hijinks!

Because this NY princess, only daughter of a wealthy family, a family comprised of a full pack, has always envisioned her future with her own pack, she ventures to pursue obtaining that pack by booking a suite on a specialized voyage. As an omega, she will be assured safety, guarded by security and isolated on 2 decks, protecting her from any feral alphas. However, she quickly remembers her seasickness once the voyage is underway and she flees to vomit off one of the upper decks. There a lone alpha, unable to sleep, is out running on the deck in the moonlight when he sees her. Aware of her extreme sickness, he jumps into an uber alpha protective role carrying her to the on board infirmary and staying by her side when he returns her to her room. Although he had been reluctant to obtain passage on this crew, his life pack partner, an Olympic medalist, pushed him, knowing their relationship could be and should be expanded to center their pack around an omega. Having scent matched immediately with this omega, he and his partner seek to woo her to create a shared pack. What could go wrong on a vessel with omega cargo, most of whom are approaching heat, when competing alphas and a few betas roam the various spaces? If conditions were not tempered enough, the unrequited love, her brother’s best friend, decides to board the cruise initially to retrieve her and take her home. A rival sort of tension ensues which is resolved only when the pack assembles as each one pledges a…
