Description

Robbie and Ames have spent years hovering on the periphery of each other’s lives, a steady presence in a world that demands they keep their true feelings guarded. As the Axford brothers, they are known for their grit and their dedication to the firehouse, but behind closed doors, the tension between them has reached a breaking point. What started as a deep, unspoken friendship has evolved into a complicated magnetic pull that neither can ignore any longer. This Regency-era reimagining trades the modern fire station for the high-stakes drama of a bygone era, blending the adrenaline of a fighting romance with the tender, slow-burn intimacy of a long-awaited homecoming. As they navigate societal expectations and the danger of their chosen paths, Robbie and Ames are forced to confront the truth about their hearts. Their journey is a heartfelt exploration of self-discovery and the courage required to claim a love that feels both forbidden and inevitable. If you have been waiting for these two to finally stop dancing around their connection and face the heat between them, this story delivers the emotional payoff you crave. It is a warm, sweeping tale of two men finding their place in each other’s arms at last.

Small town MM best friends romance

Hot Axe (Axford Brothers Book 2) finally brings us Robbie and Ames' chance to figure themselves out. Having watched them from the sidelines, I was more than ready for them to finally get their happily ever after, but they sure are clueless for an extra long time! Archer creates a wonderful small town world of birth and found families who tease and support each other through everything. One quote from Ames I loved, "There’s no deadline except actual death, Robbie. Until then, we’re all just sorting our [stuff], trying to keep the bits that make us happy and lose the bits that don’t." I can't wait for the next book.
