Description

Josephine is a woman defined by the precision of her work and the silence of her life. As a professional who operates in the shadows, she has mastered the art of detachment, keeping the world at arm’s length to protect herself and those she encounters. That carefully constructed wall begins to crumble the moment she meets Danielle, a woman whose warmth and vulnerability feel like a direct threat to the cold, calculated reality Josephine has built for herself. What begins as a tense, high-stakes collision of two very different lives quickly evolves into an unexpected and profound connection. This is not merely a story about the dangerous edges of a life lived in secret; it is a transformative study of intimacy, trust, and the courage required to be truly seen. While the specter of danger looms, the heart of the narrative beats with the rhythm of a slow-burning, tender romance. Readers will find themselves captivated by the nuanced character arcs and the delicate balance between the adrenaline of a perilous profession and the quiet, radiant hope of finding someone worth changing for. It is an evocative, literary exploration of love finding its way into the most unlikely of places.

Loved it!

Interesting switch up on this trope. It's not about assassins so much as it is love. Fantastic arc with both Josephine and Danielle. Very different from how it appears it will be in the beginning. A beautiful love story actually. Worth reading. Will want to see more from this author!! And more books about these two love birds. Very engaging, I didn't want it to end! There is a disturbing scene in the opening but I didn't find it too difficult. It made sense to have it. Definitely give this a chance if you're looking for something original and well planned out. And fun!

this is an absolutely fantastic book

I never thought I’d like a book about a contract killer (not exactly but basically) but this was a fabulous book. The combination of love and danger was handled magnificently. Read this, you’ll love it.
