Description

Living with a stranger is an adjustment, but living with a contract killer’s daughter is a dangerous game. When Sarah moves in with the cryptic and lethal Elena, she expects a quiet life in the city. Instead, she finds herself pulled into a world of shadows, secrets, and high-stakes survival. This dark sapphic romance flips the script on traditional tension. Rather than turning against each other, Sarah and Elena become an impenetrable force, choosing to stand back-to-back against the violent world encroaching on their home. Their connection is forged in the fires of protection and unwavering loyalty, proving that true intimacy often grows in the quiet moments between battles. If you crave a story where the external chaos only strengthens the bond between two women, this is your next obsession. It is a gritty, pulse-pounding tale of justice, revenge, and a love that refuses to break under pressure. Sarah and Elena are the ultimate ride-or-die duo, showing that when the rest of the world is out to get you, the only person who matters is the one waiting for you at home. Prepare for a wild ride where the romance is as fierce as the danger.

intense!!!

I really enjoyed this book! I love when the dark part of dark romance isn’t between the main characters, but for protection? Absolutely perfect! Daria and Melanie were such amazing characters and I want to hug and protect them so much. Daria is so badass and scary I loved her! Daria and her dad’s relationship was weirdly wholesome considering what he does for a living but I really liked him. The smut wasn’t my favorite, just a few of the words used wasn’t my cup of tea but I really loved certain aspects of it and really loved Mel and Daria’s relationship!

Roommates

Sometimes, justice comes in the form of revenge. And sometimes, revenge is done by a contract killer's daughter. The perfect theme of this book is "Be careful who you mess with." I love Daria and Melanie's connection. I love how protective Daria is over her. The father-daughter relationships were actually very sweet in this story - considering the content. It's a dark romance, so please check the TWs... but it's a very good revenge story as well!!

Not horrible…but not great.

It was alright. I read the sample on kindle and it pulled me in however the rest just felt like it fell short. Spice? 6/10 story? Solid 6.5 from me. It felt so rushed and the revenge scene was soooo hyped up but such a let down, I felt like it could’ve been more drawn out since it was talked about for a decent chunk of the book. I liked it, but I doubt I’ll ever re read it.
