Description

Corwin and Nigel have spent their lives playing by the rules, but the ice is about to get a lot more complicated. As they navigate the high-stakes world of professional hockey and the brutal intensity of the ring, they find that their greatest challenge has nothing to do with the scoreboard or the fight card. It has everything to do with the undeniable connection forming between them. This story is a heartfelt exploration of identity and the courage it takes to claim the person you love in a world that expects you to stay in your lane. Eschewing unnecessary drama, the narrative focuses on the pure, unwavering devotion that grows between two men as they discover that home is not a place, but a person. Their journey is marked by genuine tenderness, laugh-out-loud banter, and a sweet, slow-burn intimacy that feels earned in every chapter. Perfect for readers who crave a low-angst romance with high emotional stakes, this coming-of-age story captures the thrill of finding your soulmate exactly when you least expect it. Whether they are battling on the ice or finding quiet moments of peace, Corwin and Nigel will have you grinning, swooning, and cheering for their hard-won happily ever after.

such a nice, low angst love story

I really loved the low angst of this relationship, and I particularly enjoyed how much each man loved the other. I was convinced by their love for each other, which isn’t always the case in romance novels. Definitely recommend this book!

Almost as good as the first...

I really enjoyed this one. Corwin and Nigel were a sweet couple together. And while I understood the reasoning for Corwin and Nigel's decisions together, and within their relationship as it progressed, I did struggled with the fact that Corwin hadn't been forthcoming with Troy. Troy is clearly much nicer of a person than I am. The writing and readability though was spot on. There were just a couple plot points that I got stuck on, and those were the reason I struggled to give this one a 5/5.

but what happens next???

This isn’t the first time I thought this about a book that this author has written. I like the story and get invested even in a little bit of the background so when the book just abruptly ends, and there’s no conclusion to the different stories that’s been mentioned during the book, it really leaves an unsatisfying feeling. Like what ends up happening? Do they come out? What happens with his family? Ugh again it’s not the first time I’ve been left in a lurch at the end of the book with this author
