Description

Life was supposed to be simple when Elias inherited a quiet, forgotten plot of land, but the boundaries between the mundane and the magical are thinner than he ever imagined. Instead of a peaceful life of cultivation, he finds himself pulled into the heart of a vibrant, perilous forest where the flora hums with ancient secrets and the shadows hold a hungry, seductive power. Here, he encounters two men as lethal as they are alluring. One is a sharp-tongued elf whose beauty is matched only by his intensity, and the other is a mysterious shadowbearer tethered to a curse that threatens to consume them all. As Elias navigates this strange new reality, he discovers that survival requires more than just gardening skills; it demands a surrender to desires he never dared to acknowledge. This dark fantasy romance blends high-stakes magic with a slow-burn connection that smolders off the page. It is a tale of forbidden bonds, the weight of ancient legacies, and the heat that flares when three souls collide in the dark. If you crave a story where enchanting landscapes hide dangerous cravings and every touch carries the weight of a curse, this journey into the heart of Song Crye will hold you captive until the very last page.

Descriptive

The beginning reminds me of Stardew Valley, except instead of a farm you get sent to a magical forest where a pretty elf guy wants to have sex with you. Terrible things then go on to happen. There’s formatting issues every so often, which can sometimes make it difficult to tell who is talking, but not enough to render it unreadable. The MM Asian influence is strong in how the men are portrayed. It is a very pretty book: Lot’s of description of just about everything. The sex scenes are brief, vague, and borderline flowery–which is either very good or very bad depending on personal preferences. Overall, a good read.
