Description

Leo and Jax have a foolproof plan to pay the bills: pretend to be head-over-heels in love for the cameras. It is just a side hustle, a performance for an audience that thrives on manufactured sweetness. As medical students balancing grueling shifts and the high stakes of their residency, the two friends treat their online persona as a strictly professional arrangement. They know every beat of the script, from the lingering gazes to the staged chemistry that keeps the subscribers coming back for more. But the lines between acting and reality start to blur when the cameras turn off. In the quiet moments between hospital rounds and late-night study sessions, the tension shifts from forced to fierce. What began as a simple charade evolves into a genuine connection neither man expected to find. When a sudden, dangerous complication threatens their carefully constructed lives, they are forced to confront the truth: they are no longer reading lines. They are writing a story of their own. This heartwarming romance brings all the feels, blending the high-pressure world of medicine with the messy, beautiful reality of falling for your best friend. It is a low-angst, high-chemistry journey toward a hard-won happily ever after.

Loved it

I absolutely loved these characters. Their interactions were great. This story gave me all the feels. I will be looking up the story that goes with the excerpt at the end.

smutty and cute

A low angst read about two men who decide to fake fall in love as a side hustle on a cam site but end up realizing they really are in love. Very cute and clear about consent and communication which is always good. Felt a little long to me because despite there being stalkers, there isn’t that much action. Maybe if I was more in a mood to appreciate the smut, which is well written and a lot of which makes sense for the story, I would have said 5 stars for sure but a solid 4.5 stars for a good if a bit predictable story with lots of healthy relationship habits modeled

Love Mangus and Trent

This story has it all. Laughter, love, danger, and a happily ever after! I didn't realize it was written by Jennifer Cody until after I finished it. If I had I would known it was going to be great! Once again Jennifer gives her audience a view into the lives of her characters who possess flaws and depth. I honestly hope she writes another story with Mangus and Trent because i fell hard for them and thinking about never reading them again makes me sad. Give this book a chance! You won't regret it!
