Description

London, 1969. The world is changing, caught between the fever of the space race and the raw, electric pulse of the rock and roll revolution. For Elara, a rising starlet trapped in the gilded cage of a royal-adjacent life, the pressure to conform is suffocating. She lives for the stolen moments of freedom, far away from the prying eyes of the press and the suffocating expectations of the patriarchy. When she crosses paths with Billie, a fierce and talented guitarist navigating the gritty underground music scene, their connection is instantaneous and undeniable. As their worlds collide, they find themselves caught in a dangerous, beautiful dance of forbidden love. Against a backdrop of cultural upheaval, they must decide if their bond is strong enough to survive the scrutiny of a society determined to tear them apart. This is a sweeping story of courage, sacrifice, and the transformative power of a love that refuses to be silenced. It captures the essence of a remarkable decade while exploring the profound struggle for authenticity. If you are looking for a romance that balances heart-wrenching stakes with a tender, enduring connection, this story will stay with you long after the final page.

Well done and memorable

I loved it! The characters were very intriguing. I enjoyed Noble’s sapphic retelling of a real life time period/event. I think the story was rather well done. Noble seems to have done a lot of research to keep it interesting and give us a compelling story. I look forward to her next book! I recommend this one wholeheartedly.

Boldly Beautiful

To find a gem like this in the romance genre is rare especially given the content. The love story is beautiful, enhanced by a serious subject matter that only emboldens the author’s writing. Definitely worth a read.

Amazing!!

This was a well paced. Well executed and thought out book. It made me mad honestly... Not because the writer did anything wrong but because she did something so right. By painting a picture that reminds the reader of harder times and what they looked like. This is a lovely piece that reminds us to stick to our guns but also be true to ourselves and the love we wish to have not only for the world around us but one another. Ourselves included.
