Description

Zach has spent his entire life navigating the suffocating silence of a strict religious household where his true self is treated as a sin. Tenderhearted and perpetually overlooked by parents who refuse to see him, he exists in the shadows, longing for a warmth he has never known. When he finally steps out into the world, he discovers that home is not a place defined by blood or duty, but a space carved out by the person who sees you completely. This story is a profound emotional journey that transcends the standard romance. It captures the raw ache of coming of age while holding onto the fragile hope of being loved for exactly who you are. Readers describe it as an unforgettable, beautiful departure from the typical genre experience, offering a narrative that balances heartache with soaring moments of pure joy. It is a story about the courage it takes to break free from neglect and the sweeping, life-changing power of finding someone who becomes your sanctuary. If you are looking for a tender, deeply moving romance that will leave you with a lingering book hangover and a heart full of hope, this is the story you have been waiting for.

Absolutely beautiful story

This book is so different and absolutely beautiful from any other book I have read. This gave me all the emotional roller coaster , heartache, happiness, laughter, all of it and I would read it again and again. Brady and Zach meet under sad circumstances and become best friends at an early age and grow up together. Brad is so protective over Zach after everything that has happened to Zach. They have always loved each other but never acted on it until they were adults. They grow together and love each other the entire time and learn about themselves as they get older. Brady is a little more confused about himself and takes him a little more time to figure himself out but he gets there! This story is absolutely wonderful and Connor and Kelly are the most precious friends ever! Would love to read their story too. This is the perfect small town romance that you definitely need to read.

Wonderful hurt/comfort, coming of age, LGBTQ+ story

You're My Home was my third book in 2024 and I already had my first mini book-hangover. I stumbled on it in December last year. It was a recommendation in an MM FB group. I asked specifically for a story with the vibe where a boy knew early in his early childhood that he'll marry his best friend. And You're My Home by Author Katie Moore just hit home. It's a slow-burn, coming off age story that broke my heart and mended it at the same time. I had tears streaming down my face, some from a broken heart and some from happiness. I missed Brady and Zach (and Connor, Kelly, Honey, the Family) instantly as soon as I finished the book. This hurt/comfort story takes you on an about 5 year journey of friendship, love, found family and self-discovery, thinking you know the characters your whole life. Yes, sometimes I questioned the relationship between Zach and Brady. It was strong and deep right from the beginning and at times it felt unhealthy for both (too strong, too deep). Unhealthy like one depending on the other too much. Yet, at the same time it also made totally sense, because of what they went through. Their dynamic is something special, something only they will understand. If you are up for a wonderful hurt/comfort, coming of age, LGBTQ+ story, I highly recommend picking up Brady and Zach's book!
