Description

He was never meant to be a target, but the moment Noah laid eyes on him, the obsession took root. For Noah, love is not a gentle suggestion; it is a relentless, suffocating demand. He does not just want a connection; he wants total possession. What begins as a casual observation quickly spirals into a calculated game of cat and mouse where the lines between protector and predator blur into something far more dangerous. This is a dark, high-stakes romance that pushes boundaries and explores the thin edge between devotion and madness. Noah is the ultimate anti-hero—charming, volatile, and entirely unrepentant in his need to claim his prize. As the chase intensifies, the object of his fixation finds himself caught in a web of intensity he never saw coming. With palpable tension, searing chemistry, and a narrative that refuses to let go, this story captures the darker side of desire. If you crave an erotic, suspenseful journey where the stakes are life and death, this book will keep you breathless until the final page. Prepare to be consumed by a romance that is as terrifying as it is intoxicating, where surrender is the only option left.

☠️You should be scared of me, baby. I will do anything to keep you, even burn your entire life☠️

"He would look perfect tied up in my apartment. This is what they must mean by love at first sight. Except in my case, it's claiming at first sight." "Noah appears. He's like my dark angel, bringing me out of the depths of despair and making me feel the most alive I've ever felt." "But I'm your psycho. Yours alone. No more lonely nights, Chase. I'm here to fight away anyone who means to harm you, because you're mine, baby." "He reminds me of a shadow. My shadow. Always in the dark, following me, watching me, wanting me." "We will live this life on earth together, and we will leave this world together. I will destroy anyone in our way. You come first. You're my lungs, baby. It's not love, it's obsession and desire. I have to own you fully." This was a dark and phenomenal delicious book. Everything I have read by Syn has been amazing. The plot and flow of this story was on par. The characters fleshed out perfectly. My dark heart ate this book up 🖤🖤. I had to question my morals a few times, but in the end, I loved Noah despite everything he did. This book really makes you question your sanity and makes you view both characters from different points of view. This story follows Chase and Noah. Chase is a therapist and Noah is his patient. Noah is a full fleged psychopath. He becomes obsessed with Chase. He stalks him, manipulates him, protects him, and loves him in his own screwed up way. Chase is so touch starved and love starved that he looks past the 100s of red flags.…

Well that was a ride!

I'm not quite sure what I just read, but it was definitely highly entertaining! This isn't a master piece, but I gave it a high rating because it was still really good and held my attention on every page, and I never found myself skipping ahead. Noah is a true psychopath. The author really captured that perfectly. She did her research! She didn't shy away from any of it but did it in a way that didn't leave me feeling sick to my stomach. He's a fictional psychopath who takes you on a dark thrill ride for a little bit but doesn't leave you feeling unsettlingly disturbed in a bad way when the ride is over. This is a good, dark, angsty, and steamy romance that'll definitely entertain in a fun way. There's no dub con or grape, which is sometimes hard to find in these dark romances. I sometimes feel like authors feel that must be in the dark, angsty stuff. But this proves it's not necessary. This is quite explicit with some dark themes, including murder, so just be warned if that's not your thing, don't judge and just move along. Otherwise, I highly recommend this book! Enjoy the ride!
