Description

Five years of running, reinventing, and building a life of freedom have brought me to a place where I finally feel whole. On the silks, I can fly, shedding the weight of a past I fought hard to escape. But when my carefully constructed world collides with the intense, high-stakes atmosphere of the North Shore Titans, the safety I built begins to fracture. I never expected to find a connection as electrifying as the one I have with him. He is everything I should avoid: a Titan, a force of nature, and a temptation that threatens the fragile peace I have claimed for myself. As our lives entwine, the line between the man I am now and the shadow I left behind becomes dangerously blurred. This is a story of survival, the thrill of the ice, and the courage to trust when everything in your history tells you to run. It balances the pulse-pounding intensity of hockey romance with a layer of suspense that keeps you guessing until the final buzzer. Whether you are craving the soaring heights of aerial performance or the grounded heat of a forbidden romance, this journey is one you will not want to miss.

Loved Zach and Merci, but Viktor was ruined 🫠

But like... just barely ( ‒̯́ ₃ β€’Μ―Μ€) I did enjoy reading this, but I've been going back and forth between a 3.75 and a 4-star rating since finishing it last night, and there are a few reasons I wanted to lower it, and maybe two or three things that saved it. Spoilers ahead: - Viktor was completely ruined for me. The way I have been SEETHING since the scene in Beckett's office (˘ŏ_ŏ) I couldn't BELIEVE the crap he said to Beckett, and there's no apology from him either! I think I'm one of maybe three people that was legitimately bothered by this because the story acknowledges that Beckett is shocked and hurt by the things Viktor tells him, and yet it completely ignores his feelings because Zach decides to tell the truth? I get Zach's secret wasn't Viktor's to tell, but there was no excusing the things he said. These guys have kidnapped, planned to unalive, drugged, beaten, stalked, and tracked each other, and I never thought any of them were actually cruel until that moment. I was shocked Beckett didn't tell Viktor to get out of his sight because I couldn't stand Viktor touching him afterwards like he hadn't just deeply hurt him. Viktor may be a great friend, but he is a HORRIBLE boyfriend, and while I went into the book loving him, I came out of it kind of hating him for how plain mean he was to Beckett ( `βˆ’γ…Ώβˆ’') - I loved Merci. I usually roll my eyes at his type of character, but I thought he was really brave and kind of inspiring, honestly. He really was feisty, he…

Step Brothers!

I fairly enjoyed this one. We get a lot of insight on Zach's situation and why he is the way he is which explains a whole lot. I love that some of the group members who know his situation are there for him when he doesn't really have that support from his parental figures. We also get to understand why Zach's dad is the way he is because of what happened to him. Mercy was an interesting character He was a little bit Flamboyant in my opinion. But he was hilarious. My favorite scene in this book, was the dinner scene. That part had me cackling. I am curious about 1 side character that's popped up in this series and that is Henneman. We know Zach doesn't like him because he states that he does not trust him but other than that we really don't know about this character. He's popped up throughout the series as 1 of their teammates And I'm curious if we Will get more about him.
