You won't be disappointed!
I thoroughly enjoyed Make Your Move. When I first realized this was a book about female formula race drivers, I was concerned that it might be completely unrealistic. I should have known better, this is Melissa Brayden after all. Melissa is either an avid F1 race fan, or she did her research. The artistic license was the book being set in a world where a multitude of female F2 drivers even exist. It is a world we want to strive for.
The main characters, Sloane and Reese shared certain characteristics and drive needed to succeed in such a competitive sport. Reese had to use her, not only her skill, but her natural charisma and charm to gain sponsors to pay her way. Sloane's previous success as a driver had been funded by family money. It is Sloane's past and expertise that draws them together. It is also her experiencing a near fatal crash, in her past, that nearly pushes them apart.
There are some great secondary characters. Reese forms a great friend's group with Delaney, Marissa and Cassidy. We also meet up with Autumn, and her coffee shop The Cat's Pajamas from the 7 Shores series.
