Description

The ice is cold, but the chemistry between Logan and Anthony is undeniably scorching. When a stressful night leads Logan to a chance encounter with the man of his dreams, he has no idea that their connection is about to become a complicated game of professional stakes and personal longing. Anthony is a seasoned presence in the hockey world, and Logan is the player trying to make his mark, but their burgeoning romance faces the ultimate hurdle: a forbidden coach-player dynamic that threatens to jeopardize everything they have worked so hard to achieve. This story is a masterclass in the age gap trope, blending snarky, sweet banter with a tender emotional core. While the professional lines are clearly drawn, the pull between them is impossible to ignore. Readers will fall for the low-angst atmosphere that allows their relationship to bloom with genuine warmth and authenticity. Beyond the thrill of the rink, this is a beautiful tale of triumph over adversity and finding a partner who truly understands you. If you are looking for a heartfelt, addictive romance that balances the intensity of elite hockey with a soft, slow-burn connection, this is the perfect game-changer for your reading list.

Love this book

Book Review of No Pucks Book 1 in the Gods Versus Monsters Hockey Series by J.R Gray. I really enjoyed this book it is a 5 star read for me. I couldn’t help but smile and laugh while reading it. This is Anthony and Logan’s story. I love their banter and push and pull, they are total opposites but are great together. I love Logan and how bold and charismatic he is and how he always goes for what he wants. I love how broody Anthony is and that Logan is the only one that can make him smile. I love the gods hockey players, their team banter, and how they rally around each other. I also love all the drama with Logan’s dad. This is a spicy, slow burn, age gap, one night stand, coach x student, father’s enemy, grumpy x sunshine, forbidden, secret relationship, college hockey romance. Anthony is 40 and was a rising star in the NHL until a torn ACL ended his career. Now coming off a divorce and still trying to come to terms with his injury he takes a job as the new head coach of the New York Gods a elite college hockey team. Logan is 18 and is a freshman on the Gods. Logan and Anthony met at a bar a few months ago as strangers and had a one night stand not expecting to see each other again but are both in for a surprise when they see each other on the first day of hockey practice. Anthony has bad blood with Logan’s dad he caused the injury that ruined his career and they hate each other. Logan hates his father and hates being compared to him on the ice. Logan wants Anthony even…

Coach/player

MM Age gap Hockey Forbidden: coach/player This was a low angst, super sweet story. Logan meets Anthony after a stressful night while looking for a destresser in the form of an older man. Anthony is in town for a job interview and at a bar trying to figure out what he wants to do. Though Anthony tries to turn down Logan, Logan has an uncanny way of getting what he wants. lol After their night together, it’s a shock for them to see each other months later when Anthony comes out as the new coach of the hockey team that Logan is joining for the first time. Anthony tries to resist but Logan makes it really hard 🤣🙈 Logan’s father is your typical crap father who tries to do everything to ruin Anthony and Logan. But they push thru the animosity with no third act breakup. I enjoyed this story so much. I’ve been in a lil bit of a slump trying to push thru books. It was an easy read. The two MMCs were so loveable. I’m excited for the series.
