Description

The ice is freezing, but the tension between Seaborn and Kytor is blistering. As star players for two of the fiercest rival college hockey teams, they have spent years trading bruises and insults. They are supposed to be enemies, defined by the aggressive loyalty they owe their respective jerseys. But when a heated on-ice altercation spirals into an unexpected, electrifying kiss, the lines between hatred and desire blur into something neither of them is prepared to navigate. This installment of the Gods Versus Monsters series brings a fresh, authentic perspective to the sports romance genre. Through the eyes of Kytor, a proud Ukrainian athlete, the story explores the complexities of identity, ambition, and the vulnerability required to love someone who is supposed to be your greatest adversary. Their connection is a slow-burn masterpiece, built on palpable chemistry that crackles every time they share the rink. As they struggle to reconcile their public rivalry with their private passion, they must decide if they are willing to risk their reputations for a chance at something real. If you crave high-stakes athletics, deep emotional growth, and a romance that hits as hard as a body check, this story delivers everything you need.

perfection!!!!

I really freaking loved this book! Seaborn and Ktyror had such good tension, and their romance was fantastic. I really enjoyed reading a Ukrainian character and was really pleased to see a demisexual character as well! I wasn’t expecting it and was beyond thrilled! These two had such good chemistry and I can’t wait for book three

Two Guys One Puck

Solid addition to this series! Kytor and Seaborn were both good characters and their tension was definitely palpable on and off the ice. It made it fun and exciting. They both had so much riding on hockey behind the scenes that it was hard not to like either of them. The banter, as always, was top notch for me. Their on-ice competition honestly might have been my favorite part throughout. They were both so stinking competitive! It made for really fun reading. I wish the secrecy part hadn't quite dragged out as long, but there was a lot going on within the story so I could see how that might not have made it to the forefront. Excited for the next in the series! Hockey romances make me wish hockey season would just start already though!

Beautiful Story!

This story is about two players on rival college teams who are massive adversaries until one fight turns into one kiss that slowly builds into a relationship. They have some things they have to work through (like both realizing that they are into guys and so much more) but they figure out most of it. I really enjoyed this story! It wasn’t just an MF story with one of the characters being substituted. They were both pretty stereotypical males and ended up kind of softening to each other like best friends would (that then turned into more). The author didn’t soften either of them too terribly much but K started opening up to his friends a bit more as the book progressed and the same with Sea. It was nice that they had people to process their overall feelings and some of the underlying ones also. I am super excited for Wolf and Angel’s story next!! If was hinted at pretty heavily and I think they are going to be super fun!
