Description

Beatrix is a woman built on tradition and the heavy weight of her family legacy. As the heiress to a sprawling estate, her life is a meticulously curated display of duty and decorum, leaving little room for the messy, unpredictable nature of the heart. Her world shifts when she encounters Clara, a brilliant and spirited woman from the bustling streets of Queens, New York. What begins as a clash of two very different spheres slowly evolves into a profound, slow-burn friendship. But as they navigate the gilded halls of high society and the hidden motives of those surrounding them, a sudden tragedy strikes, forcing them both to face the raw reality of grief and bereavement. In the quiet aftermath of loss, the boundaries between friendship and something deeper begin to blur. Rabbit Season is a captivating exploration of love found in the most unlikely circumstances. It masterfully balances the elegance of a Regency setting with the high-stakes drama of modern wealth and heritage. This tender, emotional journey captures the beauty of two souls finding sanctuary in one another while learning that even in the middle of heartache, the most enduring love stories are the ones that save us.

history full of conspiracy and assertiveness.

I was snagged by the intense speculation and emotional uncertainty straight away. The combination of heritage drama, hidden motives, and slow-building interest provides the story with a clear edge. It stands out for its layered characters and particularly Chessy and Bunny, whose conflicting purposes keep the stakes high and the history full of conspiracy and assertiveness.
