Entriguing Exciting and Mesmerizing

First TJ O'Shea book - WOW. I really enjoyed this book. The setting being in England, the character of the Queen being interjected as Fiona's best friend and their history of growing up together was fantastic. The introduction of the Alabama farm girl - Alice was a stoke of genius. The first encounter between her and Fiona, then the eventual meet at Alabarden Park was so unexpected, but so delicious. I literrally could not put this book down. I ordered three more from TJ O'Shea because the writing was just sooooo grood. Thank you

Sweet Home Alabarden Park

This one requires a lot of suspension of disbelief, but it is a really cute story. It's told entirely from the POV of Fiona, an English commoner who grew up alongside and is best friends with the new Queen. Alice, a gorgeous and irreverent American totally unaware of the customs of the gentry, inherits an English title. She moves to the estate to claim her inheritance, where Fiona is tasked with getting the estate cleaned up and ready for a royal shindig and getting Alice up to speed. The result is a low-angst, fun (and spicy) romp, with lots of banter and some wonderful emotional development (particularly for Fiona), although sometimes Alice seemed a bit like a caricature. I will say, I listened to the audio of this one and...it was a choice to have an American narrator for a book set in the UK, from the POV of a British woman, where, like, 95% of the characters are British and the main character who isn't is Southern, which frankly is the closest thing to British dialect you'll find in the US. The accent was...not good. I'll just leave it at that and recommend reading this one.

Oh my goodness, what a wonderful story.

I cannot say enough about this book. I read the author’s first book, Beyond the Blue, and found it to be excellent. I didn’t think reading another of her books would be as good, but I was wrong. This story is full of great humor and much love. The two MC’s are a sweet pair, and the extended families, especially Alice’s, are outstanding. There are some well written love scenes here, and the humor is unbelievable. I wasn’t 4 pages into the book before the first laugh. Beryl was another secondary character, although she was the queen. Great friends, she and Fiona, and (spoiler) it was nice to see that the queen found herself someone. Absolutely you should read this fantastic book. It is so worth the time and money.
