Description

Kaelen is an Alpha who has spent his entire life protecting his pack, but he has never been able to protect his own heart from the haunting pull of a ghost. When he retreats to a secluded cabin to escape the suffocating expectations of his status, he expects solitude. Instead, he finds Elias, a spirit tethered to the property and trapped by a tragic past. What begins as a wary connection quickly deepens into a forbidden, soul-shattering romance that defies the boundaries between the living and the dead. As an Alpha struggling with his own mental health and the weight of his legacy, Kaelen finds in Elias a mirror to his own loneliness. Their bond is visceral and dangerous, marked by a protective intensity that threatens to consume them both. When outside forces arrive to jeopardize their fragile peace, Kaelen must decide if he is willing to risk everything, including his place in the pack, for a love that should not exist. This emotional rollercoaster explores the depths of sacrifice and the healing power of being seen. Whether you are a fan of the series or a newcomer, this story offers a poignant, heart-wrenching experience that lingers long after the final page.

I want to read again!

I feel like my heart was ripped out of my chest, torn into pieces, chewed up, and put back in my chest but it in the best way! In the beginning, when Evan and Caleb were denying their mate connection I kept screaming at them and giggling. Them keeping their distance from one another made the acceptance and growing love even sweeter. The mental health that was represented had a big impact on the story. It especially needed to be addressed so Evan and Caleb can find that healthy boundary and know each other limits before they commit to their relationship. I also appreciate therapy that comes into the picture. Caleb understanding that he can’t be the only one that can help Evan, and later on Evan even encourages Caleb to go the therapy. Both of them encourage each other that seeking help isn’t a sign of weakness but to better their outlook for their own health. This story has made me shed all my tears and now I just wanna reread it again but with no memory of reading it.

The Alpha's Getaway

4 ⭐⁣⁣⁣ 2.5 🌶️⁣⁣⁣ WHAT TO EXPECT 💜 MM PNR 💜 Wolf shifters 💜 Alpha x omega 💜 Forbidden romance 💜 Touch him and d¡e 💜 Mental-health and trauma rep MY THOUGHTS This is a new-to-me author, and I wasn't sure what to expect by jumping into an existing series where the first two books were MF. I never once felt lost in the story, and I really enjoyed this book! Honestly, outer appearance aside, both MCs are complete sweethearts. Both have past trauma weighing them down, and the author does a great job writing them with empathy and care. They're both flawed characters as well, which the author doesn't shy away from, which I like in my MCs. I don't want picture-perfect, cookie-cutter characters; I want people who screw up and make mistakes and grow from it. Everyone stumbles around when they're falling in love, and I like books that show that as well. The MCs are adorably spicy together, too, with lovely on-page chemistry. BOTTOM LINE I can't speak to the first two books in the series, but I'd give this a read for sure. And if you're also a fan of MF, hopefully you'll give the whole series a chance. take it or leave

Honestly had some ups and downs with this. There’s one scene I thought would come back up as there was mention of specific powers but it was never brought back up or mentioned. Definitely a slow burn and bully romance. It is cute though. I could take it or leave it as a kind of eh book. Decent writing though!
