Description

Jenson has spent his entire life playing by the rules, keeping his heart tucked away behind a wall of quiet responsibility. He is the anchor for everyone around him, but he has never felt truly seen. Then he meets Alphie, a man who lives with the kind of untamed spirit Jenson has only ever dreamed of possessing. Alphie is chaotic, vibrant, and entirely unapologetic about who he is, and from the moment their paths cross, the carefully constructed order of Jenson’s world begins to unravel. What follows is a breathtaking exploration of vulnerability and the courage it takes to let someone in. Their chemistry is electric, building with a slow-burn tension that crackles on every page until it finally spills over into something profound and life-altering. This is a story that captures the raw ache of wanting and the sweet relief of being understood. With prose that feels like poetry and a tenderness that lingers long after the final chapter, this romance celebrates the beauty of finding a home in another person. It is a deeply moving, heart-swelling journey for anyone who believes that love is the wildest adventure of all.

This will have you kicking your feet 🥰

4.75⭐ This author is one whose books I'm always quick to pick up because I love her writing style. It's almost poetic, and her descriptors hit me in a unique way. She tends to do more contemporary romance, but this latest series dips into the omegaverse realm. While I enjoyed book one, I had a hard time connecting with one of the main characters, Lucien. He was just too high maintenance for my liking. Book two focuses on Jenson, Lucien's ex, and this book... THIS book, I loved! The story itself was good, but what drove my love for this book was Reign's typical poetic writing combined with some of the funniest dry & sarcastic humor. I can't count how many times I actually laughed out loud, which is a rarity for me when I read. The MMCs played so well off of each other. The unfolding of their story was all of the things you want when it comes to romance and the pacing of it was great. Whereas I wouldn't re-read book one, I'll definitely be picking this one up again.

A Delightful Snack

Jesse knows what I want, and she just keeps delivering! Jensen has big feelings, currently about his alpha brother mating his best friend. When he sulks off to Yorkshire to restore the library of a reclusive English lord, he becomes intrigued by the man’s beauty, lifestyle, and strange muted quality. Alfie, our beleaguered lord alpha, is equally fascinated by the omega Yank, but has dedicated himself to a lifetime of bachelorhood. Add one fake dating scheme and cue the shenanigans! Repressed aristocrat meets chaotic American is a favorite of mine, and Alfie is as repressed as they come. He’s also deeply sweet and wildly hot. Seriously, the primal play in this book is some of the best I’ve read. We see a friendship develop between them that is just downright fun, as well as brimming with sexual tension. Featuring a unique scenario of alpha x omega dynamics, the book is a delightful snack. Highly recommend for fans of omegaverse, forced proximity, and fake dating. This is the second book in the series and could be read as a standalone, but you really don’t want to miss Branson and Lucien in book one!

Holy Alpha that was hot!

This book was everything I was hoping it would be. The chemistry between Alphie and Jenson was incredible. When they finally get together, the language Jesse Reign uses to describe their romance is magical.
